DOWNLOAD OUR FREE TRACK EXPLAINING HYPNOSIS Hypnotherapy uses deep relaxation techniques to get around the conscious mind’s beliefs and barriers that prevent one from changing. Hypnosis is a relaxed, focused state of concentration. For most people they simply feel relaxed. During hypnosis there is a change in the brain wave activity, similar to the state just before sleep and just as you wake. This is when you enter the alpha state. The alpha state is a very dreamy, pleasant state and the mind is very open to visualisations and creating a rich and almost real sensory experience. Have you ever noticed that your clearest thoughts usually just “pop-up” in your mind at these times. This is called the hypnotic state. We all pass in and out of this state naturally during the day – when we are completely involved in a good book, a movie, a television show or our deep thoughts. We are undisturbed by surrounding noise or activity. Using hypnosis to support you in a medical context allows you to feel very calm and peaceful. You are not asleep or unconscious; you will hear other sounds and will be fully aware of what is happening during the session. When your unconscious mind is very relaxed you are receptive and open to new ideas and can easily learn new positive ways of thinking, feeling and behaving. Science is confirming more and more that the mind is actually a fabulous healing tool. All your bodily functions and your immune systems are controlled by your subconscious mind. Hypnosis is a wonderful tool that can be used to support and compliment all your healing treatments. |
